About ENH 41 – Childhood, Birth, Disability

ENH is an association of parents of children with disabilities, supported by members of the medical and paramedical professions.

Since 1992, it has worked to build a sustainable and supportive network among families facing disability.

Our Goals

  • Build a support network among parents of children with disabilities
  • Inform and guide families toward appropriate care, education, or therapy structures
Its strength and longevity are undoubtedly due, in large part, to the first word in its name: SOLIDARITY.

Our Mission

ENH’s mission is to:

  • Participate in collective interest material actions
  • Provide individual moral support to affected families

A Broadly Concerned Public

ENH supports families affected by all types of severe disabilities or illnesses:

  • Intellectual disabilities
  • Motor disabilities
  • Behavioral disorders
  • Conditions of unknown origin

The association supports these families from the announcement of the disability and throughout the child’s life.

Our Role with Professionals

As part of its awareness mission, ENH informs educational, social, and medical professionals to help them understand:

  • The challenges faced by children/adults living with disabilities
  • The daily lives of families
  • The importance of shifting perceptions about disability

Concrete and Inclusive Actions

ENH has contributed to:

  • The opening of specialized classes
  • Access to adapted activities such as:
    • Dance
    • Music awakening
    • Snoezelen therapy
    • Socio-aesthetic care
    • Bowling
    • Animal-assisted therapy

Community Events

  • The traditional King’s Cake party and show
  • The spring picnic
